Personality: Gildas sincerely believes in leaving the world how he found it. He refused to follow his mother into the life of humans, apprehensive of the people who tame other dragons. It is not the act of taming that he dislikes, but those who take and don't give anything in return. There have been times when he would come across a dragon that had been left to succumb to their arena wounds, or left because they lost their use to their rider due to age or lameness. Saddened, Gildas would watch over the lost soul, sakura petals falling from his eyes. The petals would clam them, reminding them how beautiful life truly was. Though one was never too young to die, they were also never too gone to see the beauty of what they were leaving behind.
Sûldúring understood her sons choice, and didn't push the matter, though she did do her best to show that there were others out there who did not do such things. She aslo took it upon herself to find those who had abandoned the dragons Gildas had found with her 'riders' help. Gildas has met her 'rider' a few times, but always with her around. The man was apprenhensive about wild dragons without another close by, and Gildas was of the same mind with humans. His calm demeanor helped him become more relaxed about the meetings, but still, he refused to join them entirely. In the end, Sûldúring and her 'rider' came to understand that Gildas was helping put the abbandoned dragons to rest in a new way, so they never pushed to join them, though they agreed to help.
Due to their close bond, Gildas would never leave his mother entirely. Instead, he serves as her guide around the wild and terriotorial dragons when she must traverse their lands to get her contracts done. Though she could handle herself, they both agreed that avoiding any confrontation was a good idea, especially if it meant she could start her contract at full strength with no previous fights that had to be dealt with.
